Vehicle Electrician – Specialist Vehicles

About us:

Venari Group Ltd is the largest and fastest growing emergency vehicle manufacturer in the UK, specialising in the conversion of Ambulances and Fire Appliances. Employing over 180 people across our 124,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space in Goole, Brighouse. We are revolutionising our industry and making a real difference to our frontline key workers. We are now looking to recruit for the position of vehicle electrician – specialist vehicles.

JOB SUMMARY:
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Design and install custom electrical systems into various types of specialist vehicles dependent upon customers specification
• Meet with potential customers at the planning stage to ensure all requests are achievable.
• Provide detailed wiring diagrams to the engineering department to ensure compliance to the relevant ISO regs
• Provide detailed parts lists to the purchasing department to ensure parts are sourced correctly and within a set timescale and to ensure relevant ISO regs
• Knowledge and experience of light fabrication operations applicable to the job. Usage of folders and guillotines would be advantageous. Previous usage of sheet materials including aluminum and plastic.
• Knowledge and experience of both Light Commercial Vehicles and Heavy Commercial Vehicle electrical systems (12v and 24v)
• Experience and knowledge of modifying existing electrical systems and integrating them into custom-made systems
• Experience and knowledge of logic-based input/output controllers.
• Programming of Logic based controllers
• Ability to research the current market, and implement these improvements, to ensure our end products are up to date and above our competitors.
• Travel to customer site when needed to carry out any fault finding and fault rectification
• Any knowledge or qualifications on 240v systems would be an advantage,
• Own tools required
